Preliminary Itinerary
While the dates, times and locations in the itinerary are all correct, I am waiting for
confirmation on certain pricing information, which will follow very soon.
Friday 5th July
Daytime - Boats to arrive during the day (earliest arrival time tbc)
6.00pm - Pontoon party - bring your own bottle & nibbles
7.30pm - *Supper at the Chain Locker pub
* Menu: choice of fish pie, beef chilli or vegetarian chilli - £25.00 per person Ice-cream dessert and coffee to pay separately if required.
Saturday 6th July
Morning - Breakfast at your leisure
11.00am - Fleet departs Falmouth Haven for cruise
12.00am - At anchor in Durgan Bay
Go ashore to National Trust property Glendurgan Garden Note: entrance is free to National Trust members, entry fee of £12.00 payable by non-members.
Afternoon - Free Time
The afternoon is free to view the beautiful Glendurgan Garden with its distinctive and intriguing collection of horticultural specimens interspersed with wildflower meadows. Or to get lost in the cherry laurel maze, based on a design taken from the Sydney Gardens in Bath and planted in 1833. Lunch is available in the tea rooms
Alternatively stay on board your boat or on the beach for your own picnic
Return to Falmouth Haven
Evening – Gala Dinner
Seaward Squadron West Country Rally 2024 – Gala Dinner
At the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club, Falmouth
Dress code: Gentlemen – Jacket & Ties & Ladies – Cocktail Dress
6.45pm to 7.30pm – Pre-dinner drinks
7.30pm – Dinner
11.00pm – Carriages

The presentation of both the John Hickman Cup and the Kimber Cup will take place after the main course.

Sunday 7th July
Morning - Optional
Visit Falmouth Maritime Museum – Special Pirates Exhibition. Price per person £18.00
or
Visit Trellisick House and Gardens - Price Per Person: £15.00 (free to National Trust members)
10.00am - Depart by boat from Falmouth Yacht Haven
Motor north up the picturesque River Fal to suitable mooring e.g. Channals Creek (~4.5 nm).
11.30am - Tour of House and garden, enjoy woodland walks
12.30pm - Return to Falmouth Yacht Haven
